TRAMVAJ IDET PO GORODUTHE TRAM RUNS THROUGH THE CITY

THE TRAM RUNS THROUGH THE CITY is more than just a portrait of a city. One eventful day long, tram conducter Ludmila Grigoryevich drives her passengers (and the viewers) through the bustling Leningrad of the 1970s, telling stories and facts from this bygone era (basically as seen from the non-Hero-City perspective). Mixed in amongst the other passengers as presumably acci-dental witnesses, though equipped in reality with a hidden camera, Lyalya Stanukinas and her cameraman observe the poetry of the everyday, the “uncommon in the common”, with empathy and curiosity.
