Lecture by Rico Isaacs Between invented worlds and political realities: resistance cinema in Kazakhstan
Rico Isaacs is Professor of Politics at Lincoln University. His research interests lay at the intersection of authoritarianism, nationalism,
culture and political theory. In this context, he examined the region of Central Asia. He published his research in numerous books, volumes and journal articles over the years. With Erica Marat he co-edited “The Routledge Handbook of Contemporary Central Asia”. In 2018 he was as a jury member for the inaugural Central Asian Documentary Film Festival in Almaty.
