Because of the CoVid-19 pandemic goEast sadly can't take place in its usual manner. However we still want to fulfill one of goEast's main goals: To bring Eastern European culture into the heart of the West. Because of this we decided to organize some of our program online.
The symposium will take place from 24.-27. July 2020 at the DFF in Frankfurt. The Pan European Picknick will serve as the kick-off for the RheinMain Short Film Tour in August. The films of our program will be shown in the cinema in November at the Exground Filmfestival out of competition.
We use Eventival for the accreditation process: Here film makers, representatives of the film business and students of Film, Media, Slavic and Eastern European studies can accredit themselves until 30. April 2020.
An Accreditation grants access to the goEast online media library containing around 80 films from our program in OV with subtitles.
An accreditation costs 30 € (film makers)/15 € (students) and requires your profession or a current enrollment certificate.
The contents of the online media library are availabe during the festival week from 05.-11. May 2020.
You will receive confirmation of your accreditation via Mail. At the start of the festival week (05.-11. May) you will be granted access to the online media library.
At the beginning of the festival week you will receive instructions how to access the online media library.
You can pay via bank transfer or paypal.

No. You can only rent and stream the film for 24 hours, not buy it indefinitely.
Our on demand offer is valid for the festival week between May 5th and 11th 2020 only. Please understand that the films are only available in Germany.
The line-up is curated. Each day we release two film recommendations and make the corresponding films available for rent. This way each day new films are added to our on-demand programme!
Just like a normal cinema has only a limited number of seats, the renting number is limited as well. After 400 streams a film is "sold out."
After renting the purchased film is available via your Vimeo account on any device for 24 hours.
