In Giedrė Žickytė's film, the Lithuanian theatre scholar, intellectual, human rights activist and Holocaust survivor, who passed away in 2020, recounts how she managed to retain her optimism and compassion in spite of the horrific experiences of her youth. The film weaves footage from the past and reflective moments from the present into a sensitive tribute to a woman who dedicated her life to humanitarian principles.
