FIRST OF ALL, FELICIA

With her annual trip to visit her family in Bucharest coming to a close, Felicia has to return to the Netherlands. She has lived there for 19 years – this time her son stayed back home with her ex-husband, to his grandparents' great disappointment. Alas, Felicia's younger sister, who is supposed to bring her to the airport, fails to show up. A taxi will have to do, but then gridlock further disrupts her plans. It quickly becomes clear that she won't be able to make her flight, and it's impossible to fly the next day. Drama ensues. Felicia's family proves less than helpful, and the dynamic between mother and daughter evolves rapidly and unsparingly. Power games meet gestures of affection.
