FLOWERS OF UKRAINE

Symposium

The film revolves around an impressive protagonist: 67-year-old Natalia is a strong, independent, resilient woman whose smile is both disarming and infectious. In the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, she throws her heart and soul into defending her beloved little patch of land – including goats, chickens and the huge flower beds she planted herself in the middle of a rapidly expanding residential development – against pesky, persistent construction companies and investors. When the Russian army attacks Kyiv in 2022, she must face new challenges of an entirely different nature. Her struggle for survival and her resistance take on a new dimension.
