GRANDHOTEL

The Grandhotel is a futuristic hotel tower reaching into the sky in Liberec. Fleischmann is the care taker and an amateur meteorologist, he has lived and worked in the building for years. On the top of the hotel he escapes from his disappointments and from other people, his colleagues think he is a loner. If it wasn’t for the shy chambermaid Ilja, Fleischmann would have set ff in a self-made balloon long ago. But Ilja shows sympathy for Fleischmann: she is not satisfi ed with her life either and her relationship with the waiter Patka is unhappy. Above the clouds, Fleischmann and Ilja soon get close.
