Camil is going through a rough patch. His girlfriend is extremely busy and disappears for days at a time to attend nebulous courses, he's misunderstood at work, and he's lonely to boot. As Camil sets out to search for his girlfriend, he stumbles upon an odd, long-haired community that performs ominous fertility rituals. Sebastian Mihăilescu's debut film is full of surprises, conveyed in images that are, without exception, breath-taking, dream-like, brimming with humour and remarkably akin to paintings. Questions regarding gender roles play a central role here, though they are not approached in an overly serious manner either. A magical chest of surreal treasures!
