Ada Solomon is one of the most prolific producers not only in Central and Eastern Europe, but across Europe as a whole. Her filmography now spans over 80 films as (co-)producer. Her guiding principle, never to interfere with the artistic vision of the directors she works with, has brought her considerable success and helped launch international careers, among them those of Radu Jude and Ivana Mladenović. The range she covers is remarkably broad: short films and features, fiction and documentary, emerging talents and established names.
The goEast portrait places strong women at its centre, revisiting their stories and celebrating art in all its dimensions. History and art are two themes Solomon returns to again and again.
