BRAZILS

Bioscop

The village of Acsa, northeast of Budapest, is turned upside down when the mayor announces, on the urging of the new village priest, that the resident Roma football team “The Brazilians” are allowed to participate in the local football championship. The winning team is promised a trip to Rio de Janeiro. As such, it’s no wonder that multiple skirmishes open up on the periphery of the actual athletic battle on the pitch. Events, emotions and anger take unforeseen paths. In BRAZILIANS, everyone gets what they deserve when the problems and conflicts of a provincial and corrupt Hungarian village are portrayed in highly amusing fashion.
