Marian, a lethargic musician, and Petro, a polished con artist who walks around constantly in the same dirty undershirt, are brought together by fate, whereupon they resolve to become business partners. Marian is in urgent need of cash for his wedding, but Petro harbours much greater ambitions. On the road in Moldova, the two run into Georgian gangsters, politicians begging to be bribed and incompetent policemen. The Moldovan Dream is not so easy to achieve after all: bureaucracy and corruption pursue these two unlucky devils at every turn in this cynical comedy.
