FACTORY

Signature

A taciturn world, filled with strange noises and functioning according to its own rules – in fact, it is two worlds: we observe workers in a steel and a clay-factory. In the steel-factory, scrap-iron is melted down and then cast into new shapes. The coordinated movements of the hard-working labourers seem like a strange choreography between streams of liquid metal and fountains of sparks. The female workers at the clay-factory, on the other hand, have to pace their monotonous task to the speed of the conveyor-belt. They seem to melt into the factory – but we also see the effort this takes.
