LIFE OF A SHOCK FORCE WORKER

Symposium

A picturesque story of men who work hard, often in the life-threatening environments of coal mines, but also a story of the difficult social conditions of their private life. The film casts a rather satirical light on Yugoslav society, especially in regard to discrepancies between the proclamations of “progress and well-being” and the day-to-day realities. A special light is thrown on the very ideological figure of the shock-force worker who sacrifices himself for the collective cause.
