LITTLE ANGEL

Everything stays different? - The Wild Nineties

Sensitive Ramona spends her life between her lonely flat in a run-down pre-WWII house in East Berlin and her dreary job in a lipstick factory. Suddenly her long anticipated prince appears in the form of Polish cigarette smuggler Andrzej. Soon she is head over heels in love, then pregnant and full of anxiety about the consequences. Almost casually, the problematic nature of the transitional period is omnipresent – from the couple’s first kiss, intended to protect Andrzej from the Western authorities, to that emblematic symbol of East Berlin, Ostkreuz train station, as a familiar rendezvous spot.
