Tomáš is eleven years old and knows pretty much exactly what he wants: to start making movies like his idol Miloš Forman instead of playing football like the other boys. TO SEE THE SEA takes its protagonist very seriously – his many concerns about his parents’ relationship or his grandmother’s health, his first crush and his interaction with his best friend, whose home life seems a little off. Tomáš captures all of this with his camera, communicating everything that moves him by means of his own cinematic language.
