Symposium

A young woman is trying to overcome the anguish of a lost love and a terminated pregnancy. The surreal images and episodes of the fictional, sometimes dream-like, plot are interspersed with documentary footage showing among other things a memorial event for the 1956 uprising that turns into a far-right march, and a funeral for the Roma victim of a racist homicide. Reality and fiction, the societal and private blend to become a searching reflection on awareness and repression of the past, recollection and mourning, home and identity.
