GARDENS IN AUTUMN

The threat of involuntary resignation looms over Vincent, the Minister of Agriculture. Although his colleagues are masterminding the intrigue, there are rebellious rumblings from the population, too. Vincent throws in the towel, says goodbye to his office and ministerial seat, and retires from political life. His new life also amounts to his liberation from everything that is prosaic, mercantile, boring and hypocritical. Instead, a time of absurdity and magic begins: the unpredictable fantasies of an entirely credible film reality in which, for example, Michel Piccoli plays the mother of the former minister.
