Married for 20 years and their son almost grown up, Gabriel and Gabriela lead a contented if predictable life in a spacious Bucharest apartment. Physical desire is all their marriage lacks. After they hesitantly begin to explore the world of internet chatrooms, each of them falls in love with a new online acquaintance. Their son Vladimir suspiciously observes the gradual changes in his parents: his own sex life is lively but he is bewildered to find they have similar needs. As Gabriel and Gabriela prepare to meet their chatroom partners in the flesh, smitten by pangs of conscience but full of expectation, Vladimir is plunged into unexpected emotional upheaval.
